Parable - River
Size, 15" x 30" + 1" wood frame. Wt 25 Lbs I made this piece soon after the loss of my husband. In an attempt to move forward without him, I reached out to God. God declares that one must not put new wine in old wine-skins but in new wine-skins. From left to right, there is an old jar and stones that depict stones of my life, followed by the red river of life which is like new wine in the wine glass of my present life. This life continues to move forward with the prayers shown by the prayer-pods done in polymer clay on the right. (Inspired by the Parable of Wine, Matthew 9:17, NIV)
